Patriarchal Trauma

If you were socialized as a woman you were taught DON’T BE A BITCH.

But what that really meant was:

      • Don’t ever get angry
      • Don’t ever say NO, especially not to men
      • Don’t take a stand for what you believe in

And that impacted your body.

Anger is the body’s natural indicator that a boundary needs to be set.

And in order to suppress anger you have to:

      • Breathe shallowly
      • Tense your jaw and face to keep yourself from showing anger
      • Tense your butt and shoulders to keep yourself from showing anger

And if you do this for years or DECADES, like I did, then you end up with chronic tension in your shoulders, neck, jaw.

And you might have difficulty setting effective healthy boundaries. Which is exactly what the patriarchy wanted…

Which is exactly why I’m running a FREE WORKSHOP on Somatics to Heal the Patriarchy.

      • Heal chronic tension
      • Reconnect with suppressed anger
