The Patriarchy Called You Lazy

If you were socialized as a woman, you were taught that everyone else’s needs come before your own:

      • your partners’ needs,
      • your kids’ needs,
      • your friends’,
      • your parents,’
      • and your careers’ needs.

And your needs are basically last.

The patriarchy uses these words to control you:

      • if you DELEGATE, you’re BOSSY
      • if you SAY NO, you’re a BITCH
      • if you ASK for what you want, you’re a DIVA
      • and if you set a BOUNDARY, you’re COLD and UNLIKABLE

These subtle messages make it difficult to rest and to take care of yourself… to watch Netflix in the daytime and sometimes that’s exactly what you need!

Sometimes because you’re physically sick or injured, other times because you’re mentally exhausted.

So rest as much as you f****** need to because imagine what the world would be like if all folks socialize those women rested, took care of themselves and then when they were nourished when out and had the energy to blow sh*t upppp!

Get yee to beddddd!! That’s how you smash the patriarchy today ;).

Hugs!

Bryn
