#ArtLetsThingsOut Challenge

Above is a poem I wrote during a poetry challenge where I wrote 108 poems in a month for a fundraiser.

It was a difficult and incredible experience. Because I had to do so many to do, I couldn’t wait for inspiration and I had to let out whatever was inside of me. It was cathartic.

I was going through a break up at the time. I could express all of my emotions and I felt better.

So I’m doing it again and you’re invited to join me this time! November 13th – 27th you’ll create 50 pieces of art in 14 days.

You’ll heal and grow and let out what’s trapped inside your heart.

This time I’m doing 50 interpretive dances (that are 20 seconds long) in 14 days to celebrate the launch of the Burnout to Brilliance Podcast :).

What kind of art are you going to create?

How to participate:

1. Choose Your Art

Decide whether you’re going to do poetry, short stories, comedy sketches, paintings, drawings, dances or songs.

Make it realistic. Do tiny drawings the size of post cards or a 20 second song or dance.

2. Do a Call for Topics

Life is too short to belived counting the years.Enjoy the ride and makeamazing memories.Have a great birthday! (1).png
Write a FB or Instagram post telling your friends you doing this challenge.

Ask your community to help you by providing topics. 50 is a lot but if you have a list of topics in front of you it’s much easier :).

3. Join Our Community

Join the Burnout to Brilliance Support Group to meet others participating in the challenge and share struggles and victories in this private FB group.

4. Make the Art

Untitled design (15).png
November 13th – 27th – make the art! That’s 3 – 4 pieces of art per day. Do them during your lunch break or on the subway. Anywhere you can fit them in.

And remember THEY DON’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT. This is about letting what’s inside you out, not perfectionism.

5. Share with Your Friends

Share on social media. And tag the person who gave you the topic :).

The magic of this is that it provides an external pressure. You’ve promised your community, so you’ll actually get it done.

Now I know some of you are saying, I don’t need to do this. I’ll just do it for myself. And I really want to encourage you to share because it’ll connect you more deeply with your community and provide motivation to actually complete the challenge.

Now if for some reason you absolutely can’t, share them all in the Burnout to Brilliance Support Group and we’ll cheer you on and hold you accountable to finish.

6. Connect with other #ArtLetsThingsOut peeps
