She wanted to share so she created a course on what had helped her. She launched it and 2 people bought.
Even though she had this deep inner contentment, she didn’t have much money. Ppl didn’t see the value in the course, so she stopped trying to sell it.
Then a few months later, she had the idea for Poopouri, a bathroom product that took off created a $400 million company.
In 2021, she relaunched that SAME COURSE: AliveOS that’d she’d created years earlier. And it sold out immediately. Over 1000 people have taken the course.
The course was valuable in 2014 when only 2 people saw the value. But after Suzy built her credibility, it was much easier to sell.
So maybe you’re selling something that’s really close to your heart, and nobody’s buying. And you know deep down it’s super valuable.
You don’t need to start a $400 million dollar company before you try to sell it. That was Suzy’s path, not yours.
But maybe you need to shift something or learn something before it’ll take off.
Like the fashion brand M.M. LaFleur that was selling out at trunk sales. But when they launched their website, sales plummeted. And their bank account went into the negative.
They were trying to figure out what went wrong when the founder Sarah LaFleur had the idea of sending a box of clothes for free to anyone who’d expressed interest. The customer could try things on, buy what they liked and send anything they didn’t want back… for free.
She knew the product was good. And that when women could actually touch the clothes, they’d see the quality was much higher than most of what was being sold online.
Some of her staff thought she was crazy, because shipping out clothes wasn’t cheap and there was a risk things would come back stained or not at all.
But Sarah was right. Once women could touch them, many bought and the word spread. And the company was able to climb out of debt and create a huge profit.
Maybe your product or service is really good. And all you gotta do is figure out how to let your clients “touch” it.
