what blocks the stillness?

like a drink of fresh water
I am cleansed
I am too tired to relax
I tell myself
numbing is the only thing that will take away the pain
hopelessness
covered
by the glossiness
of hope
I am fine.
open to the light
let go of everything
become raw
beaten
defeated
renewed
complete surrender
feels like melting through the floor
and arriving
deliciously
on the moon.
