Plucking Eyebrows

I mostly don’t pluck my eyebrows.  I usually shave my legs.

I don’t often wear makeup.

But I mostly wear outfits that make me feel sexy.

There’s a voice in my head that says, “If you don’t wear makeup and pluck your eyebrows you’ll never be as successful as you want to be.”

And my Higher Self doesn’t believe it but sometimes my inner child does get scared and confused.

What I want for me and for YOU is FREEDOM:

      • To wear as much or as little makeup as you want.
      • To burn your bra or not.
      • To be super sparkly one day and a total tomboy another.
      • To be ambitious AF
      • Or angry AF
      • Or perfectly peaceful
      • To be messy
      • And imperfect
      • And to be exactly you.

Perfectionism is a tool of the patriarchy.

Folks socialized as women are told the only way to be loved and accepted is to be perfect.

Otherwise, you’re a greedy bitch or a fucking whore, a diva or a slut.

But fuck all that.

Life is messy. Show up however feels good to you.

Be all of the beautiful mess of a human that you are.

And don’t be drained by trying to meet some unspoken but heavily reinforced standard.

The world needs ALL OF YOU.

Fuck the patriarchy,
