And I can’t let go of the fight
Can’t get the tense out of my body
Can’t surrender to the rhythm that is my life
The battle that is within
is expressed
ungracefully.
I end up hurting my neck.
And I can’t let go of the fight
Can’t get the tense out of my body
Can’t surrender to the rhythm that is my life
The battle that is within
is expressed
ungracefully.
I end up hurting my neck.
slammed
like a car crash
back
to reality
I try to escape
but eyes pierce
and questions cut
I join the dance
of cutting questions
dodging
then I attack
fierce
elbows out
and then we laugh
pretending
we never
fought
at all.
