This is hard because maybe your parents were physically or psychologically abusive and bragging made you a target.
Or maybe your race or religion was discriminated against so it wasn’t safe to be the centre of attention.
When you take up space, it’s not safe. When you brag, you make yourself a target. Sit down and shut up.
And you created an inner critic to protect you from being that target.
Because of the systems of oppression, it’s still not safe at times but you probably don’t need the critic as much as you did as a kid.
And it keeps you mired in heaviness, shame and self doubt which makes it harder to work on your goals.
So pick up your phone RIGHT NOW and text one friend a brag.
It can be small like: “I’m proud that I brushed my teeth today!” or it can be bigger.
This will weaken doubtful neural pathways and make working on your sacred goal EASIER and more FUNNN!!
And for all current clients and students I created Braggadocious: Supercharge Your Goals.
Choose a goal.
Then we’ll do a 10 Day Brag Marathon where you send us one brag every day in a private FB messenger group.
We’re going to CHEER EACH OTHER ONNNNNNN!!! Send hilarious GIFs!! And have funnnn!!
Strengthening any positive thought is going to make less space for the doubtful ones.
I can’t WAITTTTT!! Check your inbox to get a private email with all the links to join soon.
And if you were thinking about working with me and want to get in on this free bonus, book a free consult ASAP! I’ll try to get you enrolled before it starts.
