Bragging Magic

This is hard because maybe your parents were physically or psychologically abusive and bragging made you a target.

Or maybe your race or religion was discriminated against so it wasn’t safe to be the centre of attention.

You learned:

When you take up space, it’s not safe. When you brag, you make yourself a target. Sit down and shut up.

And you created an inner critic to protect you from being that target.

Because of the systems of oppression, it’s still not safe at times but you probably don’t need the critic as much as you did as a kid.

And it keeps you mired in heaviness, shame and self doubt which makes it harder to work on your goals.

So pick up your phone RIGHT NOW and text one friend a brag.

It can be small like: “I’m proud that I brushed my teeth today!” or it can be bigger.

This will weaken doubtful neural pathways and make working on your sacred goal EASIER and more FUNNN!!
