I used to think I was bad at sales until I looked at it from an energetic perspective.
I was studying bro marketers teachings about “pain points” and “benefits.” And trying to cram that shit in my head.
But I’ve been signing clients since 2019 and have some had some pretty cool synergetic client signing experiences.
It reminds me of the mystery of signing clients and my role is to show up and PLAY with the universe and to not worry about the mystery of energy and pain and need and suffering.
It also reminds me of the turning point. That sales don’t happen at any time, they happen often at these points where the client NEEDS or WANTS something. Some of those things have NOTHING to do with you. Like a client getting cheated on and needing support processing the pain of that situation.
And some of those are in your control like if you’re warm and friendly when you first meet them.
But I have no idea what it is but my role is to make generous invitations to all and to trust when ppl say HELL NO or HELL YES depending on the energy.
It reminds me of the mystical part of sales.
Energetically there are things that push ppl towards buying from you, or away from it.
And any small thing can tip the scales towards buying. A story that helps to see that their dream is more than within reach than they thought. A vulnerable story about you. Or something in their life.
And timing is important after that thing happens. That doesn’t mean you should work 24/7 but energy comes and then dissipates with time.
Make generous invitations and trust the mystery of the yeses and nos.
And remember, if you were socialized as a woman, you were taught that you don’t know SHIT about money, marketing or sales.
The only savvy female business woman I was shown growing up was Cruella Deville and I didn’t wanna follow in her footsteps.
You probably know more about sales than you think.
