The Secret to Grounding and Presence

But you can be present with:

      • Your anxiety

      • Your frustration

      • Your grief

And that’s the goal.

When I wake up feeling feel anxious and I’m like,

What the fuck!?

I don’t want to feel like this! Why does this always happen to me?? How am I going to be productive today?!!

My anxiety is ruining everything!! It’s ruining my relationships!! It’s ruining my career!! I hate this!!

That’s when I’m not grounded.

When I’m grounded I wake up feeling anxious and I say, “Oh, I feel scared today.”

And I put a hand on my heart and I say, “It’s okay to be scared. Everyone gets scared sometimes. Nothing has gone wrong here.”

And then I feel this cold tingling sensation of fear in my lower back and I’m present with it.

That’s the secret to grounding: welcoming whatever emotion is in your body in the moment and being present with it.

Hugs,

Bryn
