I missed 2 days in a row…

I’m running the 28 day Sacred Goal Process with all my one on one clients. And I forgot my workbook when I stayed with a friend on the weekend and missed two days in a row.

And I’m being nice to myself about it.

Even though the goal of the process is to check in with your inner child and your intuition every day about your goal, it’s okay to miss a few days.

And I used to beat myself for every mistake I’d make. If I bought a new kind of soup and it was gross, I’d beat myself for wasting money.

And if I missed a day of a process, I’d beat myself up for it. I thought perfection was required to achieve my goals.

But the truth is none of my goals have been achieved by perfection. I’ve learned about what kind of person I want to date by dating the wrong person.

I’ve learned about marketing by writing posts that got zero likes and doing launches that made zero dollars.

And then asking for help to figure out what wasn’t working and learning and growing.

Mistakes are how we learn.

And since I didn’t beat myself up about missing a few days, I was excited to dive back in on Monday when I had my workbook again.

So what if you’re working towards some kind of new years resolution and you’ve missed a few days in a row, that’s no big deal.

We all miss days sometimes.

One of the coaches I love, Corinne Crabtree, says that when you miss a few days it’s time to pivot like a motherfucker.

And I’d go as far to say if you miss a few days, check in with your intuition about whether this goal is still aligned with what you want. And if it is, get back on the horse.

Make beautiful and not so beautiful mistakes.

Hugs,
Bryn
