I don’t want to write about feminism.
Must every act be political?
And is the world a stage,
or a battleground?
Must I be vulnerable?
And even though with every cell of my body
I believe that women should be treated with dignity and respect
that all humans
regardless of race, gender, creed
should be treated with dignity and respect,
I cowered
at the thought
of wearing
an ‘I am a FEMINIST’
pin.
