Trying to Be Everything to Everyone? Do this.

I lay in bed with mixed emotions. For one second I would feel so happy and cozy to be tucked in bed and the next my chest would feel tight and I’d feel overcome with guilt.

It had been a long hard day at work and all I wanted to do was lie in bed watching episode after episode of Say Yes to the Dress. But I had cancelled dinner with a friend and it was wracking me with guilt.

So I flipped back and forth from pure bliss to being overcome with guilt. Back and forth.

If you’re like me and are used to being everything to everyone taking care of yourself will sometimes feel part amazing, part terrible.

  1. Are you recording the broadcast? I work those hours but I’d like to hear what you have to say. I struggle with saying No and wrestle with guilt because of it. Thanks
