I wanted to reach out because I’ve had a few insights about what might be happening for you.
I get that it can be really hard to slow down. And believe me, I can really relate to that. It’s hard for me to slow down and make space in my life too.
In the stillness, you might find sadness or shame or some other unpleasant uncomfortable emotions that are not fun to feel. So it’s easier to keep moving, to not stop.
There might be pain in the stillness. Maybe emotional pain. Maybe physical pain.
But if you don’t ever slow down, you miss so much pleasure and joy and fun and relaxation. If you’re scared to slow or stop, you run away from the good parts of life as well as the painful parts.
So take a baby step towards stillness. Take a hot bath or a walk in the snow.
Slow down just a little bit. Take 3 deep breaths right now.
I want you to feel all the joy that’s meant for you. And you’ll get there by baby steps.
