And last night at dance, I felt jealous when someone I wanted to dance with danced with someone else.
Jealousy is part of the human brain. Nothing has gone wrong if you feel jealous.
There’s an evolutionary component of increasing our chance of survival, both in terms of finding and keeping a sexual mate and also in terms of resources necessary for survival (like food or in the modern world money).
Nothing has gone wrong when you feel jealous. This is just your evolutionary biology kicking in and every single human, including Oprah, Simone Seol, or whoever you look up to feels jealous sometimes.
You’re not an ungrateful selfish person, you just have a human brain that in part does need jealousy to survive.
I wish I was perfectly gracious at every moment but news flash folks, that’s not gunna happen !!
Xoxo,
B
