Spoil Your Inner Child

Get her an ice cream cone.

Close the curtains and let her watch a Pixar movie in bed on a Tuesday afternoon.

Decide at the last minute not to go to the party and order pizza instead.

Because if you were socialized as a woman, you were taught to put your needs last including your inner child’s needs.

Your inner child’s needs literally go to THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE PILE.

First, you’re going to make sure your family’s good, your work is good, your finances are good, the grocery shopping’s done, your friends mental health is okay, the volunteer work you do is good, the laundry’s done and then maybe after if you’re not already passed out or watching Selling Sunset, you’ll think about your inner child needs.

The big problem is when your ignore their needs they fuck with your career or your love life because they’re bored and scared and lonely.

Your inner child has real needs, so your challenges are going to IMPROVE EXPONENTIALLY simply by spoiling your inner child. Once this part feels better taken care of, they’re going to be less of an asshole to you in every other area of your life.

So do something selfish, for her (or him or them). Do something lavish and silly and extravagant for them, and then watch how every area of your life improves ;).

If you wanna burn down the patriarchy, start by spoiling your inner child ;).
