Hopelessness

Yesterday was one of those days where nothing in my biz was working and it felt like nothing ever would.

It’s 3 days before my period, so this level of hopelessness is pretty common for me.

And I couldn’t get out of it.

My brain kept saying, you’ve been running a business for years, shouldn’t you be further ahead by now? Your sales and marketing skills haven’t improved at all. Why haven’t you figured this out yet?

Logically I know that when I started, I struggled to sell a $500 package and now I sell $6000 packages, so there’s obviously been improvement.

But my brain was like “you don’t sell ENOUGH $6k packages though… you suck!”

Luckily, I got some support from my Core Energetics practitioner and today I feel better.

But hopelessness is common on the way to any goal.

Maybe you want to…

…stop yelling at your kids.
…reduce your chronic back pain.
… or meet a kind stable but also creative and edgy guy and have kids.

And you have days where it feels impossible.

Here’s what to do when you’re hopeless:

1. Remind yourself everyone feels hopeless

Beyonce feels hopeless at moments.
Rhianna has those days.
Michelle Obama too. Even billionaire Taylor Swift…

2. Complete the stress cycle

For me, going for an hour long walk or taking a dance class helps.

Research shows moving your body is the most effective way to complete the stress cycle. Even a 15 minute walk will leave you feeling 5% better.

3. Text a friend

I forgot to do this yesterday lol.

But it really helps to text, “I feel heavy today” or “I feel hopeless” to a friend who I know will send me a heart emoji back so I know I’m not dealing with it alone.

Text or email or call a friend.

4. What’s a TEENY thing you can be proud of?

Maybe you can be proud that you went for a 15 minute walk.
Or you texted a friend.
Or that last week you took steps towards your goal even though today you did jack shit.

PS I know that some of you are interested in my scholarship slots but are worried about taking them away from folks who are “more deserving” and “less privileged”.

I still have a few scholarship spots open and if I have a bunch of ppl apply, I may choose to give the spots to folks who are less privileged… but let me make that decision :).

You are invited to apply even if you think you’re “too privileged”.

PSS I know a bunch of you are socialized as women which makes you not want to take up space, this is one of the groups I created these scholarship spots FOR. So apply already lol 😀 !!

And reach out to me if you have any questions about the scholarship or the 6-month program.
