glistening
in the sun
sparkling
delicate
suspended in the air
free.
until the fly flies
into the trap
trapped to death.
glistening
in the sun
sparkling
delicate
suspended in the air
free.
until the fly flies
into the trap
trapped to death.
We cross the finish line
and my body collapses
falling forward.
I try
to catch
my breath.
I have given you everything.
I have given you it all.
There is nothing left.
The drugs
knock me out,
I wake up
whoosey.
A numb kind of pain,
I try to sit up
but fall back
unable.
powerless.
I wake up,
different.
Who is this goddess

tongue lashes
fierce.
Who is this goddess?
whose words soothe
broken hearts
Who is this goddess?
creating the universe
word,
by word,
by word.
filled with stagnant water
toxins seeping
into the earth
filtered by the dirt
killing
all in it’s path
ponds
of toxic water
kill the earth
let go
and become who you are
who you want to be
is easier to find
on the other side of the world
habits and tendencies
unknown to the strangers you meet
freed from the expectations of your family and friends
you become who you are
The snot is cold
hard
breaks off in little pieces.
And there is nothing more satisfying
than digging for gold.
Beyond the opening
I find the buried treasure.

I wait for the bus
in the winter
hands cold
heart warm
back shivering
and the woman beside me
looks me in the eye
I emerge from the cold
understood.

is freedom
I fly through the air
land on my feet
softly
bounce
into my life
dancing to beyonce
she is my favourite
hope
fills my body
and my soul
but movement
fills my life.
